SCM Practitioner Acquisitions Bids and Quotations PRETORIA Supply Chain Pretoria - Gauteng SCM Practitioner Acquisitions Bids and Quotations Pretoria R173100pa 12-month fixed term contract Purpose of the post To provide acquisition and demand services to my client to facilitate effective and efficient procurement of goods and services.
Description of tasks Acquisition Management: Verify terms of reference (TOR)/ specifications for correctness and completeness before sourcing quotations Verify requests for quotations for correctness and completeness.
Conduct research and source companies from the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and other relevant sources.
Source quotations and evaluate received quotations Compiling bids documents and advertising: Verify requests for the invitation of bids for correctness and completeness Draft bid advertisement and compile standard bidding forms before bid is published Receiving and processing bid applications: Process adverts in Government Tender Bulletin and newspapers Open tender box and receive bids on closing time and date Register and safe- keeping of bids received before the closing date Conduct checklist and compliance of received proposals Evaluation and awarding of bids: Coordinate the evaluation of received bids through various Bid Committees Prepare documentation and calculate the scores of the potential bidders Compile recommendations of Bid Committee for decision making Obtain approval of the recommended service provider and facilitate implementation Draft correspondence to users in respect of decision and letter of acceptance to the appointed service provider Implement and provide policy and procedure advice: Ensure compliance with regard to SCM policies and procedures Provide advice to clients and service providers regarding SCM policies and procedure Provide inputs during the review of policies and procedures, briefing sessions, evaluation meeting, award stage etc Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of public service rules and prescripts Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and guidelines Knowledge of Supply Chain Framework and Environment Knowledge of Supply Chain process and procedures Understanding of LOGIS Good verbal and written communication skills Interpersonal skill Computer Literacy Financial management skills Ability to work under pressure Ability to work individually and as part of the team Ability to establish and maintain internal and external networks Reliable Honest Self-driven and innovative Qualifications and experience requirements: Matric certificate or equivalent (NQF 5 and above will be an added advantage) Experience in a similar role will be an added advantage Closing date for applications: 4 September 2024 Should you not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful Apply for this Job
