The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for a highly motivated scientist to lead the collation and curation of foundational animal data in line with SANBI's mandate.This position requires a PhD degree in Zoology, Entomology, or an equivalent qualification at NQF 10. It also requires 4 years of work experience in foundational animal science (animal taxonomy), foundational data collection and management, and project management.The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position: proven experience in stakeholder management, personnel management, research development and fundraising for own research, data generation and management, advanced planning, organizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent computer skills.
