What will you do? This role is responsible for sourcing and transforming a wide range of data across the business into formats that can be used by end users to develop differentiating business insights. Assist in specifying complex business rules using specified toolsets to enable the data modellers to create complex analytical models. Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the knowledge and information management and business intelligence architecture. Responsible for the design and delivery of high value and high performing knowledge and information management and business intelligence solutions for the organisation. Involved at all levels, from strategy to project execution to training. Leads Junior Analysts and takes responsibility for stakeholder engagement.
Data Preparation Acquire data from various data sources and combine & transform data into interpretable datasets, reports or dashboardsAssess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniquesExtend the company's data with third party sources of information when requiredProcess, cleanse and verify the integrity of data used for analysisEnsure that the business requirements and subsequent development activities are supported by accurate information.Ideating and implementing best practice standards.Analysis and Visualisation Create reports/dashboards using Microsoft BI stack.Interpret data, analyse results using analytical techniques and provide reports and/or dashboardsIdentify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsUse data to answer key questions about the business.Support and maintain the project data models at multiple levels of detail and functionality (conceptual, logical, normalised, relational, dimensional, application level, subject-level, integrated, etc.)Documenting processes.Stakeholder Engagement Work directly with management and other business users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationshipsPresent information using data visualisation techniquesFacilitate requirements gathering workshops with the businessCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse information needs, functional requirements and business processesWhat will make you successful in this role?
