Sampling Supervisor

The position is primarily responsible for collecting samples from underground workings and on exploration sites to enable accurate interpretation of geological information by the mine/site geologist. Help geologist on underground visits and on exploration sites.Responsibilities:Strictly adhere to and enforce Health and Safety policy and procedures as per company policy.Manage adherence to housekeeping standards.Collect samples from the face as specified by the Sampler.Ensure that samples are correctly labelled.Ensure that sample contamination does not occur.Ensure that the samples are delivered to shaft cage and core yard for dispatching.Ensure that all instruments/geology consumables are readily available to the samplers during and after sampling.Adhere to departmental standards and procedures pertaining to sampling.Maintain a good relationship with the technical and production departments.
