Qualification:B Eng or B Tech degree in Mechatronics or equivalentExperience:3 years post qualification experienceDemonstrated Mechatronic sub-system development and/or experience in the maintenance and modifications of mechatronic systemsDemonstrated Closed loop precision motion controlDemonstrated Drive setup and tuningKnowledge: Knowledge of electronics and low voltage electrical systems and/or knowledge of factory machineryStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient in MS Office, or similar applications (Word, Excel)DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:Experience in working with the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 controllerExperience in using Siemens SIMATIC Motion Control and FAULHABER Motion ControllersExperience in setting up and tuning of Siemens SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES and Kollmorgen AKD Servo DrivesExperience in the LabVIEW programming language and structured software development methodologies.Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to grasp complex, especially mechatronics systemsExperience in motion-control and electro-mechanical integrationExperience in a production environment with PLC'sExperience of large telescope electrical and electronic systemsFall arrest and basic rescue certificationPlease note that if you have not received a response within 14 days of submitting your application that your application was unsuccessful.
