REQUIREMENTS Affirmative Action South African Citizen Grade 12 B.Tech or Degree in Marketing, Finance, Logistics or equivalent 5 years in a Sales and Marketing role 5 years of automotive industry experience 2 years in a leadership role Financial understanding regarding costing Sound business acumen Automotive industry knowledge Computer skills (MS Office) Communication skills (verbal and written) Analytical skills Financial skills Decision-making skills Problem-solving skills Negotiation skills Able to build good relationships with customers First to Market for sales RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for actively maintaining current business and securing profitable new business for large glass, aligned to the company's strategic plan and ensuring accurate cost analysis on customer-specific parts to support effective business decisions Achieve monthly and yearly customer targets to meet required profitability margins and ensure sustainability for the company Maintaining the current customer base and identifying new business opportunities to achieve yearly factory volumes and targets Actively network with existing and potential customers to create and identify potential growth opportunities, drive sales, and maintain sound relationships Ensure price increase justifications are timeously submitted to customers with all documentation and additional information required to achieve a price increase Adhere to SLAs to ensure that the company is aligned with the Alstom Economic Development Plan and requirements Receive and analyze customer forecasts and compare them to contract and/ or previous forecasts and selling rates, to ensure accuracy in managing inventories and delivery performance Track delivery performance and adverse buy measurements and communicate variances with customers Communicate trends and variances with plant/ supply chain management to ensure alignment and implementation Ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision-making for the business Identify VA/ VE opportunities to reduce cost and drive profitability within the customer base Ensure that costing, analysis and pricing uploads for internal/ external customers are done timeously and accurately to support effective business decisions and drive profitability Assist with ad-hoc departmental administration as and when required and ensure that 100% of administration is done correctly and within the agreed time frames
