Job Title: Sales Representative Hospitality (FMCG) Department: Sales and Marketing Reports To: Sales Manager Location: Cape Town Area Job Purpose: To drive sales growth within the hospitality sector by promoting and selling a range of high-quality food products to hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses.
The Sales Representative will develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition and Management: Identify and target potential clients within the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and catering services.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs and present suitable product solutions.
Sales Strategy and Execution: Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics as set by the Sales Manager.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize product penetration in the market.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management, detailing sales activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
Product Knowledge and Promotion: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's product offerings and their applications within the hospitality sector.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and events to enhance product visibility and generate leads.
Customer Service: Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery.
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (advantageous).
Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of the hospitality sector and its procurement processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
Additional Requirements: Must reside in the Cape Town area.
Presentable and professional appearance (ages 25 to 35 preferred).
Small basic salary with a large commission structure.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Number of new clients acquired.
Client retention rates.
Customer satisfaction levels.
Accuracy and timeliness of sales reports and forecasts.
Working Conditions: This position requires regular travel to client locations within the Cape Town area and may involve attending events outside of standard business hours.
