Job Description
Purpose of Position: The incumbent will be responsible to continue to grow profitably and create value, to even better anticipate empower, and exceed our customers' expectations and needs and improve their experience with the Company.
Duties will include the following: Daily technical and commercial service to identified customers. Control of stock at customer sites and at consignment stores in conjunction with subordinates and interdepartmental stakeholders (Usage, forecasts and ordering). Assist identified customers' personnel in the use of our products, organize and conduct line trials / expand our business wherever possible. Liaise with all relevant departments at identified customers and internally to ensure all processes are correctly and efficiently controlled. Preparation of reports as specified by management and identified customers. Achieve monthly sales and profit targets and conduct ongoing pricing reviews in due time to ensure budgeted price / profit levels are achieved and maintained. Actively grow and develop business with existing and new product portfolio as part of our strategy Distributor Management. Actively participate in the agreed strategies of the company and make sure all necessary actions/service to ensure continuity and growth of our business. Undertake all responsibilities as detailed in IATF 16 949 and other quality Standards. Thereby ensuring all specific customer requirements are communicated to the correct departments, and are adhered to on an ongoing basis, and ensure compliance to all other aspects of our QMS. Comply with defined environmental and quality procedures and identify / communicate customer environmental and quality requirements and expectations in due time. Participate in meetings at customers and at the company when required and ensure completion of agreed tasks within agreed timeframes. Comply with all EHS activities and strategies and participate actively in our Safety Improver program. Ensure company documentation deployed at our customers is accurate, maintained and always updated. Efficient and ongoing communication to Management and staff to ensure excellent information flow. Maintain customer data on Sales Force platform and create/update visits reports Gains and Losses, opportunities and risk information frequently. Ensure requirements and input related to IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001:2018 and Responsible Care system relevant to this position are adhered to.
Inherent Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales Position – preferred in Coating Industries Matric with a Chemical Degree or Diploma Drivers Licence Main Language English Task Driven Understanding of Price and Margin Management Experienced in Project Work Good Communication Skills on all hierarchies levels Experienced with CRM Programs (i.e. Sales Force) Experienced in Cold Calls Technical Expertise, able to understand process flows and understanding of an Industrial environment Experienced with Quality Management Systems Passionate and dedicated about the job Presentable Ability to plan, manage and execute tasks without supervision
