About the Role: The successful Solar Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing innovative and comprehensive solutions in design engineering for commercial solar PV projects.
The Solar Sales Engineer will also be responsible for sales opportunities, business development and managing client expectations.
Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate must have a basic understanding on designing and installation of commercial solar systems.
Identifying potential business opportunities and generating more leads.
Solar Projects management experience.
Performing site visits, energy audits, overseeing installation and commissioning of industrial and commerical solar systems.
Coordinating and participating in Bids for solar projects.
Regularly updating management of status of various projects and potential opportunities in the market.
Designing commercial solar systems including various drawings (SLDs, Panel Layout, Stringing, Inverter and earthing layouts.)
Report writing and participation in project proposals.
Regular client engagements, project feasibility modelling and management of procurement Requirements: Pr Tech Eng or Pr Eng beneficial.
Bachelor of Engineering and/or Bachelor of Science (BEng, BSc) Matric Experience in Solar PV projects.
3+ Years of Experience in Sales Knowledge in PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD and or other design and simulation software.
Wireman's License is an added advantage.
Additional Considerations: Must have own transport Must have a valid driver's license Professional, self-motivated and target driven.
Ability to travel within and/or outside of South Africa Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans in alignment with company goals and market dynamics.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and sales analytics tools for tracking performance and analysing sales data.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support the sales team in various locations.
