Minimum requirements for the role: A BSc (Eng) in metallurgy or chemical engineering is essential for this role. Previous experience having worked within a technical role is essential for this role. Must have a background in minerals processing plant operations. Must have a demonstrated understanding of mineral processing principles and chemical applications. Must have a strong technical knowledge of metallurgy and minerals processing. The successful candidate must have excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. Must be able to provide technical leadership and mentoring. Previous experience having worked within a sales or projects or related role within the mining or related industries is preferred but not essential as the company is happy to provide training to the right person. The company is happy to train a graduate with no sales or projects experience into the mining and chemical industries. Computer literacy in MS Office is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Project managing and developing key accounts within the mining and related industries. Driving new business development in designated areas/product groups. Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. Providing expert technical support to customers. Guiding and developing the technical sales team and accompanying them when visiting clients. Conducting market research and competitor analysis. Ensuring compliance with safety requirements and company policies. Providing technical service for existing customers to maintain excellent customer relationships. Training customers on technical aspects and application of products. Working on various projects running chemical trials at customer sites when required to do so. Creating and executing project work plans and services as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifying opportunities for improvements and innovation.
