KwaZulu Natal: Technical Sales Manager - Personal Care & Pharmaceutical: The incumbent should have a tertiary qualification as well as a COSCHEM qualification and a number of years experience in raw materials sales for the Personal Care/Pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:Visit existing client base according to a call plan to maintain current business and close customer contact by submitting samples and conducting trials at sites as necessary.Identify and canvass potential customers both telephonically and face to face to develop and promote sales, thereby increasing turnover, local profit, and client base.Ensure customers receive accurate and timely communications regarding enquiries by offering support with guidance from the Manager/s and Commercial Assistant/s.Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis to maintain a high customer satisfaction rating that meets company standards.Create and conduct presentations as required. Prepare and follow up on quotes and price updates.Offer new products to customers in accordance with strategies agreed with Management to increase sales.Compile a detailed monthly report, by supplier/product category and customer for the supervising Manager/s.Review sales/budgets regularly with the Business Manager/s and implement action plans to ensure targets are achieved.Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts with the Business Manager/s.Assist with or conduct, record, and report on market surveys as required.Present continuous written and verbal quality market information to the supervising Manager/s to ensure the company's market knowledge is always up to date.Put forward creative ideas for the development of our business.Obtain, record, and update detailed information on the usage of products by customers and prospects to increase overall market knowledge.Report on competitor activity and pricing trends to remain competitive in the market.Ensure prompt and accurate internal communication.Check local stock levels in liaison with Commercial Assistants regularly.Follow up on bad debts with the Admin Department.Carry out administration duties as per the Companies Sales Procedure, ensuring efficiency within the Company and good service to customers.Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and industry meetings as required.Carry out any reasonable instruction as requested by Management or their nominee.About AzelisAzelis is a leading global innovation service provider in the specialty chemical and food ingredients industry, present in 63 countries with over 3,800 employees.
