Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company objectives.
- Develop the annual sales budget and targets for all regions, including international markets.
- Monitor actual sales performance against targets, providing monthly reports to management.
- Present strategic insights and planning to enhance client outcomes.
- Achieve overall margin targets set by management.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, provide feedback on competitor behavior, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and planning to optimize contract positions, availability, and pricing.
- Establish and maintain standard pricing based on product cost.
- Manage and support the sales team with customer-specific pricing strategies.
- Set annual KPIs for the sales team and track performance on a quarterly basis.
- Expand sales territory in Southern Africa by identifying and engaging potential customers.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor the sales team.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of contracts, price lists, and customer information in Sage.
- Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Key Account Manager and/or Sales Manager in the FMCG industry.
- Food Tech or Similar qualification advantageous
- Highly goal-oriented, assertive, and adept at problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in delegation and team leadership.
- Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a pleasant personality.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively within different regions.
