Formulate and implement medium and short-range plans for an assigned channel, in the frame of company policy to achieve approved objectives, regarding volume, sales, margin, market share, financial goals, etc.
Report on the achievement of sales orders and gross margin targets for the financial year, monthly or as required by the management.
Target new accounts and exploits business opportunities to achieve sales targets for targeted market segments, develop and implement sales strategies for the selected channel.
Maintain and develop good relationships with customers, distributors, and business partners.
Conduct sales presentation draft sales proposals and negotiate with customers Sales Representatives to win significant sales order.
Maintain database of clients and grow each new sale into strong account references.
Provide sales forecasts for the assigned channel to the sales team periodically.
Continuously promoting products and services offered by the company.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives.
Develop account management plans within the context of the company's immediate and long-term goals.
Prepare annual and/monthly sales budget.
Supervise and monitor sales activities of Sales Representatives and continuously monitor performance against sales targets to identify deviations from plan and if necessary, take timely corrective actions to ensure the realization of agreed sales objectives.
Gather market information regarding market trends, competitive activity and requirements for the development of new and existing products.
Lead, develop, motivate, and manage a team of members to ensure that sales and collection targets are met.
Monitor customer promotion calendar & forecast – Order vs Forecast.
Analysis of scan sales as benchmark, assisting in post-mortem of major promotion.
Spot and develop talent ready for moves.
Provide training for Sales Reps, Technical Advisors identify issues and develop a reporting procedure to inform key stakeholders within the businesses to ensure they take responsibility for managing/fix issues as necessary.
Demonstrate & live up the Puratos Magic culture within the company.
Promote a safe and healthy environment within the company.
Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and management JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Sales & Marketing Min 5 years of experience in related field with at least 2 years' experience in sales management level.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite).
Good communication in English and other SA Official Regional Languages.
Strong relationship building and business partnering skills with an ability to manage customer expectations.
Well developed, written communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills Previous experience in a large FMCG environment in a leadership position across all disciplines.
Extensive experience in baking from a sales & technical perspective.
