Our client is looking for a talented Sales Manager to work remotely from Johannesburg, focused on promoting a premier game reserve. In this role, you'll drive business development, cultivate key client relationships, and manage sales cycles to boost revenue. Duties and Responsibilities:Business Development:Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and destination management companies (DMCs).Conduct client visits to promote the game lodge and its offerings.Research and understand client businesses, including key stakeholders and decision-makers.Develop and implement a Sales Plan to boost revenue in alignment with company objectives.Manage the entire sales cycle, from cold calling to closing deals.Monitor tender databases and complete RFPs for corporate clients and conferences.Negotiate contracts and cross-sell other properties within the portfolio.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service offerings.Account Management:Gain in-depth understanding of client needs and use this information to grow and retain business.Ensure timely renewal of contracts with existing clients.Organize and host site inspections, presentations, training, and FAM trips as needed.Handle contract implementation and administration.Represent the lodge at relevant trade shows and industry events.Administration:Utilize CRM tools or filing systems to maintain and build client databases.Update and manage contact lists for Operations and Marketing.Prepare reports on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.Experience and Qualifications:Valid Driver's License and own vehicle.Recognized Sales Qualification and 3-5 years of relevant experience.Strategic, analytical, and data-driven approach to sales.Proven experience with tour operators, DMCs, and event planners.Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Opera is a plus.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Results-oriented with strong time management and self-motivation.Ability to work independently and interact effectively with multiple stakeholders.Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management.
