Reporting to the Head of Region: East Coast, the successful candidate will be responsible for Dealer & Broker sales in KZN. The incumbent will be expected to provide strategic input and direction to the business on sustainable market share dominance over time.
· Lead, motivate and develop a team of Dealer & Broker Consultants in the KZN area.
· Responsible for implementing the sales strategy as defined for the business.
· Oversee the management of relationships with Dealerships , brokers and underwriters.
· Responsible for achieving monthly and yearly sales targets.
· Responsible for the management and control of the regional operational budget.
· Responsible for marketing and promotion activities within the two channels.
· Maintain and grow key relationships with various partners in the KZN region.
· Maintain and grow the relationship with the Insurance Institute of KZN.
· Work closely with the Regional Customer Service Manager.
A tertiary qualification, preferably in Sales and Marketing is essential and at least five years Sales management experience, preferably in the insurance environment. A business qualification such as an MBA, MDP or similar management development programme would be advantageous. Minimum five years experience in the management of diverse sales teams. Verifiable experience in achieving business growth in terms of sales and long term profitability. Experience in the Insurance environment will be a distinct advantage. Strategic, intellectual and analytical abilities. Consultative style with influencing ability. High degree of emotional intelligence with strong leadership skills. Medical aid Provident fund
