JOYA BRANDS is looking for a dynamic, and ambitious individual to join the Sales Department.
Job title: Sales Manager Division/Department: Sales Reports to: Customer Executive Overall Responsibility: Overall responsibility for achieving or exceeding the sales and distribution objectives in the respective region to ensure achievement of Joya business objectives and strategy.
Main responsibilities of Focus Area Strategy and Execution Manage set objectives with regional agents as well as internal sales supervisors Collaborating with team to establish and execute a set goal Align the team to sales priorities per month, understand volume requirements and initiate activities that support the target achievement, Internally (Joya Team) and externally (Agents) Identify potential risks and monitor the impact this may have on regional and national objectives.
Design region operational plans, driving sales agents to implement regional plans.
Budget Management Review regional budgets Team Management Supervision and training/Development of staff and merchandising agents Performance Management of Staff Relationship Management Weekly meetings with DC demand planners Weekly meetings with sales agents and internal team Promotional Activities and Innovation Strategy Drive ad-hoc promotions to increase sales.
Develop alternative strategies to increase sales Provide insights for improvements and new ways of driving sales.
Develop a thorough understanding of company products as well as competing products.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Qualification: Tertiary qualification in sales, marketing or business management Experience: minimum of 5 years regional sales management experience within the FMCG environment Experience: Experience with specific the big 3 retailers, Shoprite, PNP and Spar would be an advantage Experience in Entrepreneurial environment will be an advantage Valid Driver's License Skills/Competencies Required: Strong business acumen (numeric and literacy) Ability to motivate and lead a team Analytical thinking and problem solving skills Networking and marketing skills – Relationships with customers Customer orientation skills Negotiating and influencing skills Innovative thinker Conflict handling skills Emotionally resilient and able to manage stress (Emotional intelligence) Detail Oriented · Strong interpersonal skills / respect for people Fast-paced and action oriented If you have not heard back from us within 3 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
