The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team ofBusiness Development Consultants in the Western Cape. The Business DevelopmentConsultant (BDC) Sales channel is a face to face tied agency, targeting highnet worth individuals and small to med-sized corporates for The CompanyInsure's products.
The purpose of the role is to execute on the The CompanyInsure Sales strategy.
This will include the achievement of product sales targetsand the delivery of an excellent, consistent customer experience across allproducts at the lowest possible cost.
This role leads and directs the The Company Insure BDCchannel, strong leadership is required to motivate and inspire the team toachieve outstanding results
The Sales Manager is accountable for understanding RegionalCustomer base, growth opportunities and specific demands whilst ensuringeffective capacity management of available resources in order to achieve higheroperational efficiencies
To ensure that the processes within the The Company InsureSales Team comply with legislative and process requirements
Achievement of required audit scores
To work along with staff to enhance skills levels and createa healthy work environment. Contracting and achieving of training anddevelopment plans for BDC's. Manage transformation and employment equity
Duties & Responsibilities
Driving profitable sales volume of all The Company Insure products
Achieve an excellent, consistent customer experience acrosschannel
Implement sales plans, budgets, and accelerated growthstrategies:
1. Addressing sales to the external market
2. South African and public sector markets
Apply a deep understanding of Provincial client andcompetitive markets and needs to execute on initiatives
that will lead to greater market penetration
Communicate the sales distribution strategic objectives,plan, and operating model to stakeholder
Accountable for establishment of a fast and efficient leadmanagement process
Ensuring effective resourcing, development, performancemanagement and retention plans are in place for sales team
Run collaborative meetings for retail sales
Collate provincial specific retail tied sales informationand compile relevant reports to respective stakeholders
Ensure effective risk management and governance of TheCompany Insure sales.
Key individual The Company Insure –; management oversight ofthe sales activities, including the performance of compliance function,specifically with respect to FAIS and the product categories for which TheCompany Insure are licensed, and represent the Sales Team during compliancemonitoring visits

RequirementsRequirements
Matric/Grade 12
NQF 5 as required/ equivalent qualification and or FAISCredits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if date of first appointment isbefore 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a fullrecognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list
FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5) and(RE1) for Key Individual
If you are registered for one Class of Business (Personal orCommercial), you are required to have 12 CPD (continuous professionaldevelopment) points. If you are registered for two Classes of Business(Personal plus Commercial), you are required to have 18 CPD points.
5 Years' experience in Sales (Short Term Insurance)
3 Years' experience in Managing staff in a short-termindustry
