Purpose: A strong sales individual in the Corrosion Industry is needed to ensure that revenue growth and customer acquisition targets are met, by generating new business, maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing customers.
Main Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be a high-performing Sales Engineer/Representative dealing with varied industries and different channels to market and to: Be the customers trusted technical advisor, Meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets, Meet individual and branch sales targets, Source new business/clients, Maintain client relationships, Ensure proper sales administration.
Required Qualifications: N.Dip or Bachelors degree in the sales and marketing field Mechanical qualification will be an advantage Required Experience: Minimum 3 years sales experience in sales and marketing (selling of services) Experience in the corrosion industry Experience in the following will be an advantage: Mechanical maintenance of pumps, valves, cyclones Maintenance or installation of pipes, tanks and pressure vessels Corrosion inspection/ NACE/ Corrosion surveys Industrial Painting and coating application Fibreglass or carbon fibre applications Rubber lining application Acid bricks or ceramic wear resistant tile installation Thermal insulation and or scaffolding erection Concrete bunds acid proofing or chemical resistant coating Concrete floors coating Polymer concrete Experience in a plant maintenance environment will be an advantage Preparing quotes and proposals Planning and pricing of projects (estimation) Contracts and tenders will be an advantage Skills: Excellent planning skills Excellent communication and report writing skills Strong business acumen Excellent assertiveness skills Analytical skills with problem-solving attitude Be able to work under pressure Excellent negotiation and commercial skills Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Projects and PowerPoint (as a minimum) Valid and unendorsed drivers licence Technical Skills: Advanced Computer Literacy (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project) Ability to read engineering drawings Ability to do physical measurements and do required calculations Behavioural Attributes: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Customer Focus/ Building relationships Sales ability and persuasiveness Contributing to team success Initiative Attention to detail Honest, responsible and accountable
