Sales and Sponsorship ManagerAbout the role Responsible for the overall recruitment, engagement and securing sponsors for a large and well-known event, providing other relationship building activities as per the targets set out and agreed. Additionally, recruit and sell floorspace to industry pavilions. Key deliverable is sourcing and securing new business for sponsorships and exhibition space in a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities Contract local/African & International Clients including China, South Korea, Asia Pacific (including Japan and Singapore), MENA (Middle East and North Africa), United States of America, South Africa, and the diaspora (outside Africa). This list is not exhaustive.Execute sales and sponsorship strategy.Travel required for Activation Presentations and Spokesperson / Travel missions/Roadshows.Actively seek out and follow through on new prospects from all relevant sources.New business development.Retention and growth of existing business through strategic account management.Drive sales and sponsorship strategy.Ability to travel.Reporting.Skills Extensive experience in sales with Sponsorships.Existing relationships in Africa.Existing relations internationally.Ability to build new relationships quickly.Align and deliver on required targets.Fast-paced environment.Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
