The Role: To get customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service, considering economical and other aspects. Problem solving by using approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in different kinds of situations. Knowledge of the tasks, tools and procedures associated with providing technical support to the sales team and prospective customers.
Key Performance Areas: Pre delivery inspections to ensure machine complies to OEM standards as well as order on works requirementsMachine testingOn-site commissioning of Machines which includes:Customer training on use of electronic and paper manualsHand over of commissioning data packMonitoring of machine over an appropriate period to ensure that it performs to OEM and customer expectationsCommissioning report for Account Manager and Customer (Site Conditions, Asset Performance, Site Production/Maintenance Risks)Develop Smart ServicesProvide on-site technical assistance to resolve issues during commissioningProcess warranty claims in the event of any failure that occurs during PDI or CommissioningEnsure that machine delivers to OEM specified production standardsRoutine review of information packs that are supplied as part of commissioning to ensure they are technically appropriateAssist workshops/field service/Asset Agreement during times of low workload in commissioning teamMachine AuditsYour Profile: Trade Certificate of Competence - Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Millwright, accompanied with proof of apprenticeship4 years experience with Mechanised Mining EquipmentUnderground mining environment, maintaining of earth moving equipmentValid drivers licenseFull physical & medical certificate to work in mining environmentKnowledge of Product LineEngineering Drawings and SchematicsUnderstand how to use Product ManualsComputer LiteracyEffective CommunicationCustomer InteractionEmployee Health and SafetyReport WritingFault FindingAttention to DetailBusiness AcumenOther: This position will require extensive traveling and living out, and it will also require the incumbent to work occasional unplanned overtime.
