Position: Productivity Partner This position is for a Productivity Partner to partner with relevant stakeholders on challenges regarding safety and reliability through best practices (e.g., maintenance scheduling, parts planning, equipment health checks, technical training) across the Phalaborwa Area.
Key Responsibilities: Assist stakeholders in achieving high equipment availability, reliability, and productivity through improved maintenance and operation practices to ultimately reduce the equipment total cost of ownership.Improve MTBF (mean time before failure) and/or reduce MTTR (mean time to repair) by supporting the maintenance schedule, parts selection and inventory forecasting, technical coaching and training, and equipment health checks.Coordinate with machine down support and 24/7 customer assistance programs, and as necessary with Sandvik.Spend ample time per site, i.e., starting up a performance contract or completing a specific project.Exhibit excellent communication skills, lead by example, and demonstrate a passion for maintaining equipment while sharing equipment knowledge, working according to Sandvik standards and procedures.Assist customers with forecasting components replacement or repairs and maintenance improvement initiatives.Provide monthly customer reporting including monthly parts consumption and investigate excessive consumption.Manage all on-site services, including but not limited to ad hoc field services and vendor-managed inventory.Your Profile: Tertiary Diploma in engineering or a managerial program in the operations field.Trade Certificate of Competence in Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Millwright, or Mechanical Fitter.Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Field Service Technician, managing performance contracts, or supervising maintenance crews.Valid driver's license.Full physical and medical certificate to work in a mining environment.Experience in: Maintenance of earth moving equipment.Underground and open cast mining environments.Sandvik equipment knowledge.Field service and performance contract involvement.Please note: In line with our EE Plan, HDSA (Historically Disadvantaged South African) candidates will be given first preference.
