Job DescriptionThe Sales Analyst role is responsible for providing leverage to the Growth Function through proactively supporting the lead generation and conversion process, sales model, and the business development function as a unit. The responsibilities of the Sales Analyst include but are not limited to; collecting data, reviewing current customers, analyzing market trends, and compiling detailed reports that provide leads on sales/growth opportunities for the BU.
Output 1: Proposal Development Support 30% Weight Translate clients' needs and debrief notes into proposal wireframeDevelop first pass complete proposal (content included)Co-ordinate proposal development rhythms with other BUsDevelop pre-read material for proposal development rhythms with support from BDMCo-ordinate registrations and collate supporting documentation for proposal development (where applicable)Update and maintain relevant proposal tracking system for each open proposalOwn the maintenance and update of the Business Development SPO FolderReorganize and streamline existing BD SPO FolderDevelop standard wireframe for certain product offerings/standard proposals with support from BDMOutput 2: BU Operational Support (Reporting, Systems and Rhythms) 25% Weight Update and maintain the calendar and associated agendas for BU rhythms including but not limited to:Prepare and distribute pre-read material for sessions based on feedback from BDM Growth CEMaintain the necessary systems (Monday.com) to enable and support the required rhythmsGather input information across Growth and other BUs required to upkeep system and compile relevant reportsProduce first pass BD reports required for reportingProvide support to BDM in preparation for forums/meetings/MancosMaintain a consistent communication rhythm of BD Developments with rest of business (BD Internal Newsletter)Finalize BD rhythm calendar and reporting requirements
Provide support to the Growth CE where needed
Provide BDM support on advisory project execution
Output 3: Research 15% Weight Own and maintain market intelligence databaseUpdate database monthly with new information and report any developments that could result in sales opportunitiesDevelop the BD CoE that shares market insights and developments that could affect product and market strategiesUpdate and maintain repository of content for proposals (includes general offerings and case studies)Collaborate and co-ordinate with BUs to update and refresh content to ensure offerings are still relevantCorporate Identity (CI) is consistent and impact numbers are up to dateCollaborate with Marketing Function to share strategic sales content and insights in relevant marketing campaignsCo-ordinate/integrate standard wireframe with content availableContent for programmes and Action populated in wireframesRegularly sift through content in existing proposals to develop repository of existing content across BUsOutput 4: Client Management 10% Weight Provide support in preparation for client meetingsPrepare any relevant research or update and share client dossierPrepare and own pre-read for sessionsTranscribe clients' needs and co-ordinate debrief amongst relevant BUsCreate a standardized template for capturing clients' needs relevant for all opportunitiesOutput 5: Adhoc 5% Weight Support Growth CE where neededProvide BDM support on advisory project executionRequirementsQualifications: South African citizenDegree in Commerce or Engineering that enables analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience: 3 years minimum Management Consulting experience (required)Exposure to proposal development in part or fullExposure in a support function within consulting companyExposure to SME Development/Impact InvestingEdge Growth is an equal opportunity employer.
