Our client in the short-term insurance industry is looking for a Sales and Administration Assistant in Sandton who will administrate and maintain a high quality of business reporting and provide dedicated support to the company's Sales management team including but not limited to; the National Sales Director; Managing Director and Operations Director.Critical competenciesExperience within the short-term insurance industry2+ Years experience in a similar roleSpeak, write, and communicate in English perfectly, ability to speak other languages would be an advantage (Afrikaans is a preference)Team playerExcellent communications skills verbal and writtenPrevious sales interaction experience is compulsoryAbility to deal with people at all levels, including making telephone calls with confidenceNatural client interaction skillsDisplays initiative and self-motivationAbility to identify problems quicklyHonesty and integrityOutstanding telephonic proficiencyConflict handling skillsProblem-solving skillsSales Admin orientedFriendly and proactive natureWell-groomed/ well-spoken, presentable, and friendlyAble to multi-taskAdvanced at Excel PowerPoint and Word competenciesResults DrivenQuality OrientationSound judgmentTeamwork and co-operationNatural orientation toward service excellenceProfessional, friendly, transparent, and confident communication skillsMonitoring and tracking operative performanceExcellent reporting skillsAction OrientatedAnalytical Thinking & Decision MakingCustomer FocusedExtroverted personality, Business Acumen, and communication vitalProcess ManagementSelf-DevelopmentJob description Duties:Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as set by the business – this will be monitored ongoing.Take minutes of sales meetings (internal and external) and distribute them timeously by recording and transcribing the minutes.Plan and coordinate external sales meetings through effective meeting co-ordination and events planningManaging the daily tasks effectively on a daily task sheet as well as managing and maintaining the Salesforce CRM platformIdentify new and exciting sales opportunitiesContinuous learning and development of the company's productsPreparing sales templates/quotes sending out sales mailers and keeping accurate records of all sales interactions daily.Attend and present at potential client meetings/workshops with the Sales StaffTo generate, track, monitor, and maintain all business data and business reporting to support business decision-making.Typing, editing, and composing of correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and sales reports as requiredEnsure effective and efficient management and coordination of all meetings for management and exco levelsProofreading all reports and documents A career-focused mentality is required with a mature working standard that can stay calm and focused under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, driving, researching leads, and managing Sales and the administration for all new business activities to assist management in fulfilling sales and growth objectives.
One of your key objectives is to play a pivotal role in helping acquire and solicit new business prospects to help grow the business's client base.
