Our Client, a well-established firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors in Pretoria, is seeking to employ a bright and independent trainee who wants to qualify as a Professional Accountant (SAIPA).Main ResponsibilitiesCapture transactions in accounting records.Perform reconciliations.Perform bookkeeping to trial balance.Interpret clients' accounting records and compile annual financial statements (IFRS for SME).Perform tax calculations and complete income tax returns and provisional tax returns.Perform VAT and PAYE calculations to submit returns on E-filing.Assist Accountants with various client matters, including administrative work.Resolve queries.Perform tasks required in terms of the SAIPA competency framework.Any other tasks related to the role.RequirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable with and have a general understanding of computers and software, with an ability to learn new software quickly.Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
