Saipa/ Saica Accountant

LOCATION: Germiston
SALARY AND BENEFITS: R25 000 – R30 000 CTC p/m negotiable depending on experience. CTC includes compulsory Provident fund and medical aid.
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:
This is an amazing career opportunity for a SAIPA/SAICA Accountant - someone who has just completed their articles – and is looking to get into a commercial environment. No post article experience required! Reporting to the Finance Manager – the successful candidate will receive mentorship and will assume responsibility for the full accounting function for their division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BCom degree in Accounting
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
Exposure to manufacturing clients during articles will be beneficial
Must live close to the East Rand, or be willing to relocate
Someone who is not just a "bean-counter", but also likes to be involved in operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The financial accountant's responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Processing of month end Journals/ Accruals to update TB for month end close off.
Compiling for review and submitting VAT returns to head office and SARS.
Preparing of Monthly reports for Management Reports.
Liaison in budgeting process between finance and different departments
Assisting with Budgets.
Fixed assets management.
