Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SAIPA-qualified Bookkeeper to join our client's team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle VAT calculations and submissions.
Manage payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with SAIPA regulations and reporting standards.
Skills Required Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective time management and organizational abilities.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of South African tax laws and statutory regulations.

Requirements Minimum Requirements SAIPA qualification and membership in good standing.
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a similar role.
A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Familiarity with SARS submissions and statutory compliance.
Additional Attributes Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Team player with a proactive attitude.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
