About the Role

The Safety and Security Administrator is responsible for supporting and managing the organisation's administrative aspects of safety and security programs. This includes maintaining documentation, tracking safety incidents and compliance activities, and coordinating safety training sessions and drills. The role also involves preparing safety communications, assisting in policy development, managing safety equipment, and supporting budget monitoring. Additionally, the administrator will collaborate with the Training department to ensure accurate safety records and serve as a critical point of contact for safety inquiries. The position requires strong organisational skills and a focus on continuously improving safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the administrative aspects of safety and security programs, including documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
Coordinate scheduling and logistics for safety training sessions, meetings, and drills.
Maintain databases and systems for tracking safety incidents, security breaches, and compliance activities.
Prepare and distribute safety and security communications, including memos, notices, and newsletters.
Assist in the development and distribution of safety and security policies, procedures and guidelines.
Support the procurement and maintenance of safety and security equipment, supplies and resources.
Collaborate with the Training department to ensure that safety records are accurate and up-to-date for all employees.
Assist in the preparation of safety and security budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Serve as a point of contact for safety and security inquiries, providing information and assistance to employees.
Conduct research and analysis on safety and security trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making and program development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
A relevant qualification and experience in Administration will be advantageous
Computer literate
Strong administrative skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service orientated
Communicate well in English.
