Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures on the plant.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEGrade 12 with Safety Management Diploma as a minimum preferredCOMSOC 1&2 / SAMTRAC5 Years minimum proven track record discipline – specific and supervisory experienceAll MQA unit standards or recognized in making up for fully qualified Health and Safety Officer working with combination of MHSA as well as OHSAPlant (Chrome and PGM recovery) experienceTraining experience will be advantageousComputer Literacy including Presentation skillsPractical knowledge of and experience in Safety ManagementPractical knowledge of pertinent SHE legislationRisk assessments, HIRA, RA Software used in the industryKnowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesUnderstanding of ISO45001:2018Campaign and education orientated with the ability to manage such programs in its entiretyEngineering trade will be advantageousRESPONSIBILITIESConduct workplace inspections and legal compliance auditsCompile daily / weekly and monthly SHE reportsEnsure all incidents and unsafe acts are reportedFacilitate investigationsRisk AssessmentsAnalyze / Evaluate the quality of risk assessments, PTOs, Safe declarations, Pre-use inspectionsDrive the functioning of Health and Safety RepsFollow through on actions, closing out reportsProvide site induction and on the job trainingAssess contractor H&S filesAddress non-conformances / compliancesReport and record keeping of high standardPresent a professional image of the SHERQ departmentMedical examination follow ups and addressing issues that may arisePPE Issuing and controlBe able to assist with stock take on all H&S equipment e.g. PPEDrafting of proceduresSalary between R65 000 - R69 000pmPlease send your cv to ****** or ******
