A Safety Coordinator, or Safety Specialist, helps improve the overall safety of the workplace. Their duties include assessing safety, enforcing safety standards, and educating employees.
They take into consideration industry regulations and the specific risks in your workplace to ensure normal work activities are handled safely. They train employees on safety protocols and enforce them if they're not being followed properly. Safety Coordinators also respond when workplace accidents happen, creating reports and determining ways to prevent similar accidents.
JOB Location: Fujairah, UAE - Flights and accommodation provided.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in UAE in non-industrial site preferable from a facility maintenance company, community management firms, private properties, etc.
Need to have strong communication and English skills.
Need to be confident and strong in dealing with conflicts.
OSHA approved.
Very good knowledge about local/ISO 45001/International/OSHA regulations.
MUST HAVE HOTEL / RESORT EXPERIENCE.

JOB SKILLS

Intervenes in correcting unsafe work practices that may be going on in an organization.
Monitors employees' and employer's adherence to safety policies and/or guidelines.
Organizes accident investigation processes.
Carry out development of safety policies for organizations.
Keeps record of all safety-related issues within the organization and makes sure that corrective measures are taken.
Always possess a high level of problem-solving abilities.
Pays keen attention to tiny details.
Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities.
Managing and enforcing OSH policies and regulations.
Developing and coordinating training for general safety, worker's compensation, and accident investigation.
Monitoring staff, equipment, and machinery to evaluate and improve health and safety conditions.
Investigating and reporting on accidents and incidents.
Leading and participating in workplace audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Collaborating with managers and other stakeholders to identify and address safety issues.
