Safety Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:Support staff and company as the nominated Safety Representative.Conduct site health and safety audits to identify potential health and safety hazards and risks in the workplace and make recommendations to safety committee regarding health and safety on site.Visit incidents sites and support in incident investigations and examine causes of incidents.Attend investigations or formal enquiries and accompany an inspector.Attend health and safety committee meetings and provide support and advise the committee on reports from staff and feedback to staff on issues raised.Coordinate TBTs and communicate learnings from incidents.Elevate reports from staff to safety committee and provide feedback to staff on issues raised.Capture information received from Bulk Vehicle Operators on relevant data sheets (PI/NM/UA/UC/Incident data).Conduct induction for new staff as well as all site visitors.Coordinate and issue work permits to contractors working on site.Coordinate and issue PPE for all staff.Assist in implementation and review of the HSSE Management System and Transport Safety.Promote HSSEQ culture to achieve sustainable development goals and HSSEQ excellence.Support on and off-site emergency preparedness to ensure it remains at the highest practical standard.Participate in review of hazards and risks associated with Company Business.Job Type: PermanentPay: Up to R9000,00 per monthEducation:Diploma (Preferred)Experience:Health and Safety or Road Transport: 3 years (Preferred)Application Deadline: 2024/11/15
