These are:We have an uncompromising focus on operating safe, reliable and responsible facilitiesWe honor our responsibility to create value for stakeholdersWe treat others with respect, and act with personal and organizational integrityWe build our organization with diverse, talented people who make a positive difference, and we invest in their successWe are adaptable, decisive, and effectiveWe are trustworthy and reliable, and we build mutually rewarding relationshipsWe share accountability and have high expectations for ourselves and one anotherWe do the right work the right way in every aspect of our businessWe celebrate the joy of working together to accomplish great thingsRoles and ResponsibilitiesSafety OperationsSupport the Leader, SHE to implement the Safety policy and procedures, to comply with the safety regulations and reduce the occurrence of incidences due to unsafe acts or lack of awareness.Compilation of SHE statistics and reportsConduct incident investigationPartake in inspections, audits of safety management systems, program certification and training.Conduct safety inspections as per schedule or legal requirements.Adhere to safety legal requirements to projects and operational sites (technical job requests) to ensure Tronox retain certification and adhere to legislation.Support the SHE Leader with regards to safety compliance and implementing any strategic change initiatives.Assist to create awareness, address all unsafe practices and accept responsibility for area of responsibility.Report irregularities and ensure that good housekeeping practices are heldProvide support to the analysis of safety specific incidences to enable Tronox to take corrective action, monitor operational trends & implement continuous improvement.Compliance, Governance and AssuranceImplement effective SHEQ management systems for own job and for the section.Update and report on Safety risk assessment.Adhere to the requirements of quality management systems.Ensuring incident investigations and reporting are conducted as per the standard requirements.Initiate projects/campaigns that focus on the drive towards zero harm.Actively participate and recommend improvements in onsite activities.Contribute the achievements of the departments business and financial objectives by cost effectively striving to reduce costs without loss of services or standards.Assist with contractor management on site.Safe and health Work EnvironmentEnsure & maintain a healthy environment, safe operations & practices.Responsible for own safety & for the clients.Compliance to all applicable SHE policies & procedures in line with set standards.Report defects & incidents.Ensure good housekeeping principles are upheld in the workplace.Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations.Service ManagementExecute responsibilities in a manner that is in accordance with guidelines and standards associated with quality service delivery of Safety services.Deliver responsibilities in a manner that is aligned to the services framework and consistent with customer agreements.Identify service performance improvement opportunities associated with area of responsibility.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting and statistics services to Tronox customers.Customer and Client RelationshipsProvide support to the customer in the development of reports and ensuring that processes for central repository management is maintained.Assist in the evaluation of discipline-specific standards, principles and practice to enable planning, design and implementation of safe outcomes that support the business strategyQualificationsGrade 12 (Mandatory)National Diploma in Safety or Related studies (Mandatory)Driver's License (Mandatory)Advanced Excel certificateExperience3 - 5 years' safety operations experience (Mandatory)Computer Literacy (Mandatory)Experienced of working in underground mine (Added advantage)
