Job Summary
We are seeking a Safety Engineer to join the This Company Loss Prevention organization (LP), which is the corporate safety organization within This Company. We provide both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to This Company operations, as well as a centralized technical support and consulting function. Our field offices are located in Abqaiq, Riyadh, Ras Tanura, Dhahran, Udhailiyah, Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan), and Tanajib. Through these offices, LP provides its services to all This Company facilities and departments located throughout the Kingdom.
Your primary role as a Safety Engineer (Loss Prevention Engineer) is to provide daily support to company facilities and departments, helping them effectively implement the This Company Safety Management System (Occupational & Process Safety) expectations and associated programs, as well as assuring compliance with all company safety requirements.
Responsibilities:

Facilitating the implementation of the This Company Safety Management System, along with its objectives and expectations, by developing associated safety processes and participating in self-assessments.
Conducting field inspections and reviews to evaluate compliance with company and international codes and standards, identifying safety concerns, and formulating practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
Identifying, evaluating, recommending actions, and following up on critical safety tasks and control methodologies related to operational safety practices such as work at height, isolation/LOTO, permit to work, hydrogen sulfide, confined space entry, and excavations.
Participating in safety studies and activities utilizing risk assessment and mitigation methodologies, including PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, and insurance surveys.
Responding to emergency situations and incidents, providing technical assistance and advice during or after regular working hours.
Participating in worksite contractor safety management activities, including contractor selection and prequalification, monitoring work site compliance, and measuring performance.
Supporting the reporting, classification, and investigation of all incidents, participating in incident investigations to determine root causes, and making proper recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Delivering Loss Prevention-specific training to employees, contractors, and outside parties.
Mentoring other Loss Prevention personnel.

Requirements:

This role requires the candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Hold a BA/BS degree from an Accredited Institution, along with 7 years of experience in areas such as operations and maintenance, plant engineering, construction, turnaround and inspection, safety program development, process safety, and audits/assessments within the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or related industries.
Alternatively, possess 15 years of relevant industry experience in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or related industries, with a strong track record of delivering results in the aforementioned areas, without a degree.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of effectively communicating with peers and management.
Ability to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
