Organisational BackgroundCentre for Community Impact (CCI) is a non-profit South African organization based in Pretoria, with offices in Bethlehem and Setsoto in the Free State Province, and in Rustenburg in the North West Province in South Africa. We aim to be a Centre of excellence in strategic health and development communication programs that are centered around meaningful community engagement.
Position SummaryEffective oversight of safe space operations and primary supervision of community teams. Provision of Professional Counselling Services to all programme beneficiaries.
Primary Responsibilities:Provide Leadership and supportive supervision to community team to ensure that they fulfil their job prescripts.Oversee Safe Space operations and rollout of daily activities.Develop a daily Schedule of Safe Space activities.Screen and identify and provide guidance and counselling to vulnerable learners and out of School AYPs experiencing psychosocial challenges.Attend and participate in various local stakeholders' meetings.Provide Orientation training to Community team i.e., SAWs, PGTs and ACs, CYCWs, CCGs, MFs.Consolidate Monthly and Quarterly Community Component Reports from teams.Must have case management experience.Owner of a valid Driver's License with excellent driving capability.Perform any other duties within the program as requested by the supervisor, and any other manager or senior/executive management at CCI.Minimum Requirements:An appropriate 4-year bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA.Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).Minimum of 5 years appropriate / recognizable experience in social work involving case management after registration as a Social Worker with SACSSP.At least 3 years' experience working with Adolescents and Youth programs.Skilful writing skills that will enable the incumbent to compile reports.Excellent communication, listening and critical thinking skills.Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to work individually and as a team.Knowledge and understanding of human behavior, social systems, and skills to intervene at a point where people interact with their environment to promote their well-being.People Management and empowerment skills.Information and knowledge management skills.Knowledge of programme and project management skills.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit an updated CV to CCI Human Resources.Please use the job title "Safe Space Supervisor – Free State Dihlabeng or Setsoto Subdistrict" as the subject line for your application.Only email submissions will be accepted or considered.The closing date for applications is the 26th of May 2024.Late applications will NOT be accepted or considered.
