ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Travel Tech company in Durbanville seeks the exceptional communication, organisational, and time-management skills of a self-driven Safari Sales Coordinator who possesses general knowledge of Southern and/or East Africa. You will create itineraries in WETU for a team of Consultants, issue all travel documentation while making and confirming bookings, including the holding of flights. The ideal candidate must possess a Travel and Tourism Degree with 2+ years of work experience in the Tourism industry - specifically in the inbound Safari industry with solid knowledge of African destinations, logistics, and properties. You will also need 2+ years of work experience in an Administrative/Sales Support role within the Tourism industry with proficiency in MS Office/Google Workplace.
DUTIES: Create itineraries in WETU for the team of Consultants.Issue all travel documentation- Itineraries, Vouchers, flights, etc.Check availability of requested suppliers.Make provisional bookings, including the holding of flights.Confirm bookings and issue flights.Ensure all dietary and special requests are noted with suppliers.Reconfirm all travel services for all clients due to travel.Assist with loading bookings into the Reservations System.Assist with Invoicing.Assist with updating CRM.Assist the Product, Marketing, and Sales Team with any ad-hoc duties.REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications – Travel and Tourism Degree.Experience/Skills – 2+ Years' experience in the Tourism industry specifically in the inbound Safari industry.2+ Experience in an Administrative/Sales Support role within the Tourism industry.Computer literate– MS Office / Google Workplace.Knowledge of African destinations, logistics, and properties.Advantageous – Tourplan and WETU system knowledge.ATTRIBUTES: Superior interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.Remain calm and professional under pressure.Driven customer service skills.Capable of self-management & self-actualization.Highly flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Diligent, a high degree of perseverance, and attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving skills.A friendly and supportive attitude.
