Job Summary Collect recycling material safely and efficiently, from designated locations, within a set timeframe. ResponsibilitiesKeep company vehicle clean and well maintainedAssist the Driver in completing daily vehicle checklist before departing the yardAssist the Driver with the identification of any vehicle issues / defectsGather all bags from collection points and prepare for collectionLoad material at collection points and unload the material at MRFsAssist the Driver with the counting of bags and collection of paperworkEnsure all bags are collected from designated collection points, unless permission is granted by the Transport Controllers / Supervisor to not collect everythingDistribute plastic bags when requiredAssist the Driver with completing relevant checklists for cage collections upon collection and delivery and inform the Transport Controllers / Supervisor of any defectsAlways ensure a safe off-loading environmentEnsure the off-loading area is clean and any obstructions removed to prevent damagesGuide the Driver into off-loading bays, using the appropriate hand signalsAssist the Driver with guidance that is required during the maneuvering of the vehicle when reversing or avoiding any obstacles in confined spacesEnsure the vehicle is off-loaded / emptied at the end of each shiftResponsible for the safe keeping of all equipment issues to the vehicle such as brooms, tools and chemicalsAdhere to all reasonable instructions given by your SupervisorsAdhere to OHS ACT legislation policiesRequirementsGrade 12Minimum 1 year working experienceEmployment will be implemented in accordance with the Employment Equity Act.Only Applicants being considered for the role will be contactedClosing date: 02nd January 2025Should you wish to apply, please follow the online application process
