RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER for a hospitality concern based in the Drakensberg area, KwaZulu-Natal. REQUIREMENTSGrade 12.3-year Diploma from the International Hotel School or similar accredited institution would be a strong advantage.Person must be able to speak, read and write English efficiently. Proficiency in English, Afrikaans and Zulu is advantageous.Valid Code 08 drivers license.Strong computer skills (MS Office / Email). Excellent working knowledge of Opera (PMS).5yrs+ previous working experience in a full-service Hotel in a remote location and in a leadership role either as a rooms division manager OR 7 years experience as a front office manager.Duties include leading and managing all aspects of the front office, which includes reception, reservations, shop, entertainment and banqueting, special events, as well as IT for PMS, internet and switchboard.Housekeeping duties.Front office administration duties.Assist and banqueting department to manage and co-ordinate Christmas, New Year, Easter, and other special occasions.Housekeeping.Co-ordinating of any guest or staff injuries and recording of incidences as required. Hand over to the Health and Safety committee.Shop assessing stock requirements, receive proposals from reps, check and authorize orders. Correspond with suppliers, supply order numbers where applicable, receive and follow procedures for invoice and processing of payments.Payroll - responsible for monthly preparation of salaries, i.e. processing of time sheets of all administration and management, compiling leave reports, closure of staff accounts, hotel accounts etc. Online banking part of a team responsible for capturing or approving invoices for due for payment.
