A 4* hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Rooms Division / Deputy General Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the rooms division while supporting the overall management of the hotel. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a similar role within a 4/5* hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rooms division, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services.
Assist the General Manager in managing all hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across departments.
Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, responding promptly to guest concerns and feedback.
Lead, train, and motivate teams within the rooms division to ensure high performance and exceptional service delivery.
Monitor room inventory, rates, and yield management to maximise occupancy and revenue.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure operational goals are met, providing support and guidance where necessary.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the rooms division.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Requirements:

Recent experience in a Rooms Division or Deputy General Manager role within a 4/5* hotel environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire multiple teams.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
In-depth knowledge of front office and housekeeping operations, room inventory, and revenue management.
Proven ability to manage budgets, analyse financial data, and report on operational performance.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field.
