Line Manager: Technical Manager
Job Specification: Key Performance Areas: Repair faulty equipmentFault Finding – Intermediate to Advanced, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & software relatedTesting all equipment to ensure it is mechanically, aesthetically, and functionally acceptableCalibrating and programming of equipment to ensure the right quality of coffee products is producedInstall beverage equipment and test with using the product before leaving the customerUpliftment of equipment if faultyClearly communicate fault on equipment and corrective action taken to Manager on siteInform field service coordinator or technical support manager of updates or returnsEscalate any problems like wrong address, site not ready, no product, to the Team Supervisor immediately
Preventative checks and repair on equipment when necessaryGeneral: Required to do tool checks where applicablePerform any other tasks as instructed by Technical Manager or SupervisorOperational assistance and guidance to customers on equipment
Promote company ethics and values at all times.Announcing yourself to the management of establishment with explanation for purpose of visitWork overtime / standby as required from time to time
Technical Duties: Stripping, descaling & cleaning of spares, taps, boilers and other partsReassembling of spares & selected equipmentPerform pre-delivery inspections on equipmentRepair faulty equipment with minimal input from technical support
Program machine parameter when necessary
Calibrate machines when necessaryPerform basic software upgrades on equipmentTesting end product by tastingAdministrative Duties: Fill in consumption sheetsComplete & hand in R-Calls (Repeat calls)Complete & hand in time sheetsComplete & hand in tool checksComplete overtime sheets and leave applications
Keep equipment manuals up to dateS.H.E. Responsibilities: Keep own work area clean, neat & safe at all times
Wear relevant protective clothingOnly use tools trained on & signed off by Workshop SupervisorConsider the possible risks of the activities in the warehouseBe familiar with emergency procedures and Exit pointsGood understanding of the risks of equipment, electrical, high temperature, pressurized vessels, sharp edges, lifting Techniques and dangerous chemicals

Time managementResponsible for spares and toolsPromote company ethics and values at all times.Full responsibility of own quality of workmanshipBe cost-conscious when selecting replacement spares during repairsKnowledge Required: Basic knowledge of Coffee extraction through equipment variantsTechnical service and repair experience Intermediate Electrical 220v/380v knowledgeIntermediate to advanced understanding of a Multimeter
Qualifications and Experience:
Matric essential – Grade 12Electrician qualification – AdvantageousCertification in relevant required coffee equipment – advantageous
Must have previous working experience on coffee machines and or vending machinesCode 10 DriversMinimum 2 years driving experience
