Job DescriptionTo initiate and lead deal origination and structuring, implementation and client engagement in the allocated sector/product to enable improved profitability, market share and competitive positioning within our Growth Capital Business.
Understand key competitors, global trends, sector dynamics and key macro environmental forces to analyse and identify Bank-wide opportunities and challenges. This includes participation and involvement with industry/regulatory forums (where relevant).
Understand the critical micro-environmental impacts and relationships i.e. client performance trends, financial data, debt profile, gearing, projected cash flows, operations to identify and persuade stakeholders to adopt differentiated funding solutions eg. off-shore opportunities, acquisition and empowerment financing.
Understand and stay close to the needs, demands, perceptions and lending behaviours of allocated client portfolio to ensure successful deal origination.
Manage the development of client relationships by implementing and enhancing solutions that recognise client life-cycle, satisfaction and retention. This includes directing the research and development of targeted origination planning for potential clients and strategic partners.
Formulate solutioning approaches where considerations will include: client requirements, regulations, internal risk frameworks, pricing, term and funding mechanisms.
Contribute to the attainment of the Business Unit budget by formulating annual strategies for the allocated client portfolio to enable enhanced revenue growth.
Manage multi-disciplinary projects to ensure successful transaction implementation within time limits, client satisfaction and retention.
Ensure alignment to credit risk processes and forums to mitigate against credit risk exposure. This includes enablement of deal and client due diligence, oversight of required documentation, steer credit and legal approval processes and governance forums.
Display a working knowledge of relevant systems and interdependencies between these systems.
Leverage the diversity of work teams in support of business goals; encourage participation from others and leverage divergent capabilities to add value to the development and delivery of deal origination and implementation strategies.
Enable the development of the team ensuring an environment of knowledge-sharing, feedback and inclusion.
