You will guide manuhiri (visitors) on Funyak's (inflatable canoes) along the Dart River, a treasured and unique environment. If you're a natural storyteller and entertainer, then this is the perfect role for you!Our river raft (Funyak) experience combines jet boating on the beautiful and iconic Dart River with a canoe journey in the heart of Mt Aspiring National Park. A wilderness picnic lunch and exploration of the stunning Rockburn Chasm are a highlight of the tour.We take great pride in warmly welcoming manuhiri to our experiences. As hosts, we care for our customers and our team as our own whanau.A little bit about what you'll bring to the role:Loves the outdoorsCares about delivering amazing experiences for our visitorsWorks well in a teamIs physically fit and keeps cool under pressureHas previous experience of guiding, trip leading and hosting customers on activities in dynamic outdoor environmentsIs open to learning about Ngai Tahu culture and storiesIs able to work shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidaysA full, clean driver's licence with Class 2 and Passenger endorsement is preferable. As is having attended a River Rescue course in the last three years and possessing a current first aid certificate.There's more to being a river raft guide than paddling the river, so we provide full training to ensure you can deliver safe and exciting experiences.Keen?You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
