Risk Officer

RPO Recruitment is working with a well-established mining company in the North West province to assist in sourcing a highly skilled Risk Officer for their operation.
Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Risk Management plan for the mining operationIdentifying and assessing potential risks and their impacts on the businessCreating strategies and plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsConducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvementCollaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategiesProviding regular reports and updates on the status of risk management activitiesTraining and educating employees on risk management best practicesMaintaining knowledge of industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance
Requirements
National Diploma in Safety ManagementRisk & Safety Management CertificatesAt least 5 years' safety related experience in the mining industryMinimum 5 years' experience in Risk Management and management of change systemsExtensive experience in IBRA, BLRA, Task based and Continuous based risk assessmentsFamiliarity with relevant legislation and regulations in the mining industryExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in risk management software and tools
