ResponsibilitiesSet the strategy and create the enabling environment for active risk mitigation within the Business Unit.Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development.Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives.Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy.Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.Minimum RequirementsRelevant Degree (Risk Management, Bcom or LLB).At least 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in a risk management function, preferably in a financial institution.Digital Banking knowledge is preferred.Knowledge of South African Banking regulations and Banking standards (NCA, FICA, FAIS, TCF).Familiarity with Basel II.Experience in Risk and Control Identification and Assessment.Proficient in risk tools.Experience in creating reports.Ability to develop risk control monitoring plans.Understanding of platform banking.Ideal Candidate AttributesCurious & courageous - driven by always wanting to know more and learn more.Obsessed with mastery - constantly pushing yourself to improve.A team player - believes in the power of teams, building and leveraging networks.Think outside the box - a problem solver who is not limited by surroundings.We OfferOpportunities to network and collaborate.A challenging working environment.Opportunities to innovate.All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group's Employment Equity plan.
