Risk Management Specialist

Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth financial analyses, managing supplier financial risks, and supporting top management with strategies to secure production. Strong financial acumen, knowledge of financial risk management, and excellent communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Duties: Conduct deep financial analyses to assess supplier stability. Manage risks to prevent production stoppages due to unstable suppliers. Moderate meetings between suppliers and internal departments on financial matters. Report local supplier financial ratings to Purchasing Management. Consult and collaborate with Risk Management and Reactive Risk Management during supplier financial crises. Evaluate and advise the purchasing department on economic issues with financially distressed suppliers. Support Purchasing Top Management in rating unstable suppliers and creating strategies to secure production. Continuously improve risk management processes and supplier rating methodologies. Track and record statistical data for management reporting. Prepare quarterly and annual risk reports and present them to the Board of Management. Communicate and align strategies with Purchasing, Finance, Legal, and Group teams. Submit quarterly and annual risk records for the Purchasing department. Qualifications : Chartered Accountant (SA) or BCom Honours (CTA) graduate with completed Articles. Experience : 5 years in Accounting and/or Finance, ideally within motor manufacturing or related industries. Essential Working knowledge of financial risk management. Understanding financial statements and the impact of accounting policies. Knowledge of financial structures and their effect on performance and statutory reporting. Basic understanding of legal aspects of financial structures in financial reporting. Ability to analyze and apply financial ratios. Offering improvement suggestions with supporting facts. Strong communication skills at all levels. Basic understanding of tax legislation and its impact on business and cash flow. Familiarity with structured finance/loan arrangements and legal frameworks. Planning and management abilities. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated and driven. Strong presentation skills.
