About The Role
The Risk Management Team is responsible for claims and complaints handling for the firm as well as guiding the firm on strategies to avoid future risk. The team are looking for a Risk Paralegal/Assistant to join them in our Worcester Office. The duties of a Risk Paralegal/Assistant involve:
• Business administration including some dictation and file opening
• Managing the team inbox and taking calls and queries and escalate accordingly
• Manage team spreadsheets, and monitoring complaint process
• Diary management for the senior lawyers you are supporting ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner
• Drafting legal documents including using appropriate templates for acknowledgements and responses
• Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in the team
• Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR About You
As a Risk Paralegal/Assistant you will need to have: • Unless you have prior experience, a willingness to train to handle claims/complaints and have an interest in developing an understanding of risk
• Excellent organisational capability with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to learn and the ability to manage a growing workload
• Strong IT skills with adequate excel capabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
•Ability to work as an effective member of a team and to offer support to peers where required
A prior legal background is not essential for this role, a candidate working in another regulated profession (such as insurance) could be a viable fit. About Us
