Position Title: Risk Management Associate
Position Summary: The Risk Management Associate plays a pivotal role in strengthening the company's risk management ecosystem by ensuring strict adherence to policies and implementing best practices. The role involves strategic and operational components, including managing projects at local, regional, and global levels, and further working closely with various teams to support and enhance risk management processes.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Strategic Role:
Support local, regional and strategic projects to enhance risk management protocols
Ensure regional compliance to global risk management training and compliance standards
Oversee the integrity of the Personal Appointment Tool, streamlining documentation for swift approvals
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that requisite documentation for all risk management committees is understood and timeously submitted for consideration and approval
Proactively drive updates to key policies. Take the lead in ensuring that all local and regional policies are not only compliant but also optimized for effectiveness for our local and regional environment
Operational Role:
Address and resolve daily risk management inquiries, providing expert guidance to the business
Foster collaboration with key stakeholders to bolster business support and risk mitigation efforts
Follow up on outstanding learnings to help the business address and close gaps in risk management knowledge and practices
Collaborate with Talent, Service Line Quality and Global Risk Management teams to determine and implement appropriate sanctions for individuals with outstanding learning
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Possesses an understanding of risk management, demonstrated by having experience in the successful deployment of an enterprise risk management framework
Rapid learning aptitude with the capability to swiftly assimilate new IT tools and processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Skilled in driving project timelines and maintaining strict adherence to schedules, while coordinating with team members to ensure collective punctuality and organization
Ability to analyze complex situations and adopt a solution-based approach to problems.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and build relationships across dynamic teams within EY.
Self-motivated with the drive to complete projects and daily activities.
Possess exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage complex projects with meticulous attention to detail.
Advantageous Skills:
Strong SharePoint skills
Experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) systems, such as IRM Archer, for integrating risk management practices across the organization
Education:
Holds a CMA/CGMA certification from the Institute of CIMA or an appropriate Risk Management qualification, such as a Bcom in Risk Management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) at a master level.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of risk management experience, preferably with some experience within EY.
