MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:The Risk Compliance & Reporting Officer is responsible for conducting compliance reviews for the HIVSA and the organisation's sub awardees, working with Grants Officers , in conformance with HIVSA's Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), donor rules and regulations, where applicable, and local laws. The incumbent will be reporting to the Accounting & Compliance Manager.
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
Experience:At least 2 years of experience in compliance, accounting, or auditing.Knowledge of compliance principles, regulations, and standards relevant to nonprofit organisations and grant-funded projects.Familiarity with financial accounting principles and practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Working experience of USAID funded projectsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and Pastel Evolution.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of workKey Performance Areas:Assist the Accounting & Compliance Manager in conducting compliance reviews for HIVSA and its sub awardees.Review financial records, documents, and transactions to ensure compliance with HIVSA's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), donor requirements, and local regulations.Work closely with Grants officers to assess compliance of sub awardees with donor regulations and contractual obligations.Identify areas of potential non-compliance and recommend corrective actions to the Accounting & Compliance Manager.Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance reviews and findings.Assist in the preparation of compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of compliance efforts with organizational goals and objectives.Stay abreast of changes in regulations and best practices related to compliance in the nonprofit sector.Support the Accounting & Compliance Manager in preparing and submitting the Annual Risk Assessment report, which evaluates the effectiveness of HIVSA's risk management framework and identifies the key risks and mitigation strategies for the upcoming year.Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting & Compliance Manager.HOW TO APPLY:Candidates that meet the requirements and are interested in the position should send motivation letter and CV with three contactable referees to:The HR Manager, HIVSA, e-mail: ******.
