Role: Risk & Compliance Officer Location: Hermanus - Overberg, Western Cape Salary: To be Discussed Whats In It for You? Impact : Youll play a crucial role in maintaining the companys compliance with key regulations such as FICA, FAIS, and the PoPI Act, and youll ensure that the organizations risk management framework is up-to-date and effective. Support : Working alongside the Head of Business Enablement, youll have the chance to collaborate with various departments, as well as regulatory agencies, ensuring that compliance practices are seamless and effective. What Youll Be Doing Compliance Management : You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company operates within the required legal frameworks. Your role will also involve conducting internal audits and providing guidance on compliance matters. Risk Mitigation : Youll continuously evaluate potential risks, develop risk management frameworks, and implement strategies to minimize exposure. With your proactive approach, youll ensure that the company is prepared for any internal or external challenges. Training and Development : You will organize and conduct compliance and risk management training for staff, ensuring that everyone is aligned with regulatory requirements. What Were Looking For in You Were looking for someone with the following: Qualifications : A degree in commerce or a related field is preferred. If youre a member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa, thats a bonus Experience : You should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in risk and compliance management, with a solid understanding of compliance legislation and risk management practices. Skills : Youre an excellent communicator in both English and Afrikaans, with strong writing skills. You know how to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines, and handle complex issues with ease. Problem Solver : You have a keen eye for identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. Your ability to influence change and provide practical solutions is key to your success.
