A day on the job as a Rework Technician: The Rework Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and correcting manufacturing solder defects and test failures on printed circuit board assemblies including removal and replacement of components. You must be able to read and interpret assembly drawings and follow work instructions, have strong component identification skills, strong hand soldering skills, solder under a Mantis microscope, and solder using a video inspection system. You will also assist production with soldering and testing as needed. You must be able to sit for up to 10 hours a day and walk distances across the production floor. Duties include: Repairs defective surfaces and circuitry on printed circuit boards PCBs, using power hand tools, utilizing knowledge of electronic repair techniques Positions PCBs under microscope to examine circuitry Repairs defective circuitry using hand tools and soldering Cleans repaired boards with solvent using brush rags Inspects boards to define that repairs meet specifications Proven understanding and execution of 5S principles.
