Key Outputs To coordinate the implementation of organisational remuneration and benefit interventions for South Africa to ensure market competitiveness.
Accountable for developing and rolling out the following:a remuneration and benefit policy, aligned to the business strategy (which will cover all levels and functions of the organization)Recognition and incentive schemes across all levelsa retention strategy and employee value proposition (identification and retention of top talent is interlinked with an effective performance management discipline)an integrated wellness strategy and approachMedical Aid policies and proceduresPension benefit policies and proceduresOther benefit policies and proceduresManaged absenteeism reporting to ManagementTo coordinate research and best practice indicators identification within the industry on total reward strategies and approaches successful workshop coordination.
To identify appropriate solutions regarding own area of accountability to address relevant gaps as identified in surveys and needs analysis.
Successful industry analysis and benchmarking.
Successful coordination of increase review process.
The role holder is accountable to develop Employment contracts for all grades within South Africa. This includes ensuring accurate data, changes effected as required and compliance.
Conduct Equal Pay for equal work audit and corrective plans.
Facilitate the automation of Remuneration and benefit processes.
Review benefit schemes annually and implement new schemes where applicable.
Project progress information collated and reported.
To develop appropriate communication plans and content on Remuneration and Benefits practices and trends for the Remuneration and Benefits awareness campaigns, and participate where relevant.
Check job profile quality and check for similar jobs internally, submit for grading, prepare documentation for grading validation committee.
Serve as secretary to the Remuneration committee.
Research and preparation of remuneration committee documentation, ensure King compliance and reporting of non-compliance.
Develop and implement guidelines and processes to ensure relevant indices, requirements and economic and other relevant measures are considered. The role holder is also accountable to consolidate country-specific data and prepare an integrated mandate request for approval.
Ensure all tax and legal compliance regarding remuneration practices in South Africa.
Remuneration training of Human Resources and line managers.
Undertake specific reward-related projects as may be required.
Manage budget and Employee for department.
Mergers, acquisitions, and disposals with focus on reward.
Direct and verify all quantitative data (Executive directors' compensation and related parties).
Change management of companywide rem initiatives.
Monitor wellness interventions and case management to initiate preventative initiatives.
Manage and approve request for additional sick leave.
Follow up on disability cases and risk claims.
Facilitate the coordination and sign-off of Executive directors' emoluments for the annual report.
Provide technical assistance and query resolution on all reward systems questions.
