Job Description:
A leading manufacturer and distributor of automotive and industrial batteries is seeking a dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the success of our retail store. This role requires a strong leader with experience in driving sales, managing staff, and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Retail Store Management (50%)

Implement strategic plans to achieve sales and operational targets.
Ensure merchandise availability, pricing strategies, and promotions are aligned with business objectives.
Maintain store security and compliance with safety standards.


Compliance (10%)

Ensure adherence to all internal controls and legal regulations.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company policies.


Customer Service Management (20%)

Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
Resolve customer issues promptly, maintaining high service standards.


Staff Supervision (10%)

Lead and manage a team including salespersons, store assistants, and other operational staff.
Oversee staff performance, development, and training.


Cost and Financial Control (10%)

Monitor and manage store budget, ensuring costs are kept within financial guidelines.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce waste.



Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 6).
5 years of experience in Retail Sales or Marketing, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.

Advantageous:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 7).

Competencies:

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.
Ability to manage operations, solve problems, and plan effectively.
